Eaton Apartments is another cornerstone development ofThird.i in Newcastle’s thriving WestEnd Precinct.

The 112 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and twocommercial suites are within two towers, designed to maximise views. Residentsalso soak in the views from outdoor areas and a rooftop terrace with seatingareas and awnings.

Another exciting element of the project is the inclusion of10 customised specialist disability accommodation (SDA) apartments – some ofthe first such apartments in inner-city Newcastle. The complex had to becompletely disability friendly including automatic doors in the SDA apartmentsand common areas. The SDA apartments required specialist fit out of bathroomsand adjustable benches in the kitchen.

As always, Basebuild sought to understand the uniqueelements of the project and incorporate it into its building informationmodelling.

Modular design, including the use of bathroom pods, ensuredconsistency in apartment delivery while speeding up construction times. Weworked with trusted local brands and specialist sub-contractors, with whom wehave long relationships, backed up by regular compliance audits, to ensure theproject is of the highest quality.  

Constructing tower apartments in a busy inner-city area iscomplex but our project planning ensured this was well managed.

The combination of excellent design and quality constructionsaw the apartments sell out quickly.
